Peter Alec Frangedakis is running for Capac School Board

Hello my name is Peter Alec Frangedakis and I am running for the Capac School Board. My wife, Michele, and I have been married for twenty years, and have lived in Capac for the past ten restoring the Old Walters Funeral Home as our residence. Four of our five children, Alexandria,16; Jake,11; Victoria,9; Max,5; and Emma~Rose,3; attend Capac Schools. I am currently a District Manager for The Detroit Media Partnership for over 12 years. I graduated with honors, from Wayne State University with a Bachelors degree in Communications. I am a member of The National Golden Key Honor Society, and have attended both Graduate and Law School after graduation.

As a parent and as a concerned member of this community I believe the solution to many of our society's problems can be resolved with a more leading and cutting edge school system to better prepare are children to enter a global workforce. However, this is not going to be an easy task. I understand that being on the school board can be time consuming, thankless, and frustrating, but I fully wish to take on this challenge to better our school district and students.

The voters need to know that the school board should be made up of a diverse group of concerned parents in the district, not just teachers and administrators. This will ensure that the school board will remain unbiased and more productive in the decision making process. Which, in turn, will benefit our students.

I feel that the school board, as well as students and parents will benefit from my being elected for many reasons. When making decisions, I ask questions, and make that decision based on facts and information, without being hasty. I also realize that making decisions as a group produces better results. I understand that we all have an interest in our schools and ideas as to how to improve them. I also know the importance that all of these ideas are heard and taken into consideration. This, in turn, will lead to better decision making. When elected I will be very open to your concerns and ideas to improve the school district, after all, these are our children, and this is our school district. I am not afraid of hard work or long hours, as sometimes this is necessary to get the results we wish to attain. If I strongly believe in something, as I do in making sure every child has the education necessary to succeed, I will do whatever it takes to achieve the most favorable outcome for everyone, which begins with a strong school system.

It's is very important that you exercise your right to vote. This is your opportunity to make the changes that we need. So vote for Peter Frangedakis for Capac School Board on May 6th at ST John's Lutheran Church 109 E Kempf Ct. Hope to see you at the polls.
